  1. I noticed there are some bike alarms being sold around on ebay, and I was wondering if anyone has tried any out?

I'm kind of intrigued by them, it does seem like a good thief deterrant, but since I've never seen anyone actually have one, I can't help but wonder why, are there any hidden flaws?

    Thanks

  2. I use an alarm and I'm happy with it. I think you want one that sounds loud enough. You still need another mean of securing your bike though.

  3. oh, of course, I use a lock and a chain, I just wondered about anyone's experience with alarms! 🙂 thanks

  4. ok I got an alarm, off ebay. Well, it will definitely scare the life out of anyone who tries to fiddle with my bike!! 😄 The only trouble is, it's so sensitive, when I come to deactivate it, there's no way I can put the key into it without it going off!
It's only for half a second, but enough to turn the whole street's heads towards me haha

ah well. I'll take minor discomfort over stolen bike any day. 😄
