FWIW. If the two are comparably priced, then between the two, 'I' would choose the COLNAGO regardless of how good-or-bad the TREK may be ...
But, particularly, choose the Colnago if the particular Trek is encumbered with SRAM components ...
If you have the bike 3+ years from now, the Colnago will [I]look[/I] better ...
Which is to say that if you buy the Trek, then in 3 years you will probably wish you had bought the Colnago, but if you buy the Colnago, you probably won't wish you had chosen the Trek.
There are, of course, other bikes which may be worthy of your consideration in the price range that your budget allows ...
