hi all
1st time posting so go easy im very inexperienced wen comes to bikes but im doin a duathlon at the end of may and havent a clue what sorta bike i would like, im looking for something pretty light and has good speed
hopely someone can give me sum good advice re: size of frame, make, model, price would also be important

I don't think the bike had much to do with speed. That is down to you.
Erm -- road bikes with racing handlebars are fastest, and there are so many options regarding frame, components, etc. Borrow bikes from friends for a ride, and see what feels good. If you're doing just one duathlon but you want a bike to get around town on as well, you might consider a road bike with mountain bike type handlebars. Once you know what general kind of bike you want, price will dictate components. Make sure you get a good fit.
