The project 3D Bike Configurator is developed by Riders for Riders. Our goal is to facilitate the selection of components to a new or existing bike. There are only 2 kinds of frames and 2 types of plugs at the present. We still have much to do to create the most popular bike components, but now you can at least to "play" with colors for understanding the general look of the bike with different Colors of wheels, spokes, frame, pedals, handlebar, fork, tires etc. If you want to see your bike in our configurator, please vote for the frame model and fork on project website so let us know what models to do at first.
Project under development, and will eventually be extended with new parts and functional.

    Features:
    - Change the frame or fork
    - Change the color of wheels, spokes, frame, pedal, steering, forks, tires, etc.
    - Demonstrating the forks and rear suspension frame, with actual dimensions
    - Share your design with friends in social networks

Nice work! The video looks cool! But your product page url is broken, pardner.

Is the 2nd kind of frame a road frame? What are the "2 types of plugs"? What's planned for the next release? When's the next release?

Apart from the obvious WOW factor, what is the practical application (if any) of this configurator? Can you output the data in any kind of cross-application exchange format? CAD? Bikecad.ca? Or whatever? If yes, which properties of the built-up bike are exportable?

Maybe all the answers to my questions are on your project page. But...

Anyway. Keep up the good work!

Sorry, the web site was not working yesterday because it was going to another hardware. Today You can try web demo on bikeconfig.combikeconfig.com.

Yes there is 2 frames and 2 forks at this time, You can vote now on bikeconfig.combikeconfig.com for next frame and fork. Our plan for next release is make configurable more parts of bike, new frame and fork and other improvements.

Our goal was to create a configurator аfrom already existing bike parts, also we had the idea to create a web service where you could collect yourself a bike, buy and wait for their delivery.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the update.

I get that it configures 2 bikes. And going by the bikes I see in your "LATEST USER DESIGNS" gallery - I get that your target market is probably the funky "Generation Z" off-roader.

I'm only interested in road bikes though. You see? And my browser and tablet are already bloated with surplus, proprietory plugins and apps that I've only ever used exclusively for one website that I've never returned to after the first visit.

Your configurator looks stunning! Your programmers are clearly geniuses! But before I install yet another one-trick pony media viewer, please can you tell me if the 2nd of your app's current 2 bikes is a road bike? Or not?

Also, is any of the data exportable?

    Thanks!

Thanks. No, second frame is dirt, street...

I dont think so, our 3d models are not exportable, we can't publish this models for people use. I can also say that this models are not highly accurate with dimensions as the were modeled by photos, and i thinks they can be only used for preview.

    Thanks.
