Don't know about the Giro, but the youngest winner of the TdF was
Henri Cornet, who was 19 when he rode the 1904 race, but 20 when he
was named the winner.

Poulidor was 40 in 1976 when he finished third.

If age is of interest, it's not TdF, but Kent Bostick made the U.S. Olympic
Team when he was 42 years old.
