Can anyone give me a clue as to what might be out there, seems to be alot of bikes in my area getting stolen. Locks are great but alarms would drive them away by bringing attention to the creeps before they have the chance to cut or break the locks or steal the parts.

Quorum makes a couple. One is a lock that alarms if it's cut, another is a motion sensor type that you disable with a key or code. Been a while since I've seen them, they've never been very popular. Better off spending your money on better locks.

I can buy the very best out there but it won't keep my campy parts safe or my saddle, bars, post, etc. from taking a walk. A motion sensor alarm going off before they have a chance to do anything makes a lot of sense if you think about it. It's kind of like locking your doors and windows AND having that big old mean barking Rott outside. It only helps!

It's more likely to annoy people by false alarms. The locking alarm sounds like an OK idea though.
