  1. I noticed the frame material on the volpe was changed from reynolds 520 to bianchi chromo lite last year. can any1 tell me:

what exactly chromo lite is ?

is the volpe still a good bike for touring ?

    why'd they change it ?

I've looked for an answer to these questions and haven't come up with anything, either. I considered a Volpe as a new touring bike but went with a Trek520 instead since it seemed sturdier and fit me better (and was on sale, so the prices were closer). I have a friend who is looking into a touring bike around $1k or less; anyone else have answers on the Volpe?
