I am undecided between these bikes Trek 2100 Alloy frame, Trek 1600 SLR Aluminum, Trek 1500 SLR Aluminum, GT 2006 GTR Series 2.0 SuperLite Aluminum, Gt 2006 GTR Series 3.0 SuperLite Aluminum, and Felt F75 Alloy.
I am coming from a 2005 Trek 1500 SLR. I gave the bike to my little brother. I really enjoyed the bike but have never tried any of these. I have never tried any of the above but base on their specs, looks, and price got my attention. My price range is $1000 to 1500 but the higher priced ones have to justify themselves by being the better bike. For example "Is the Trek 2100 alloy that much better than either the SLR aluminum?". Is Alloy better than Aluminum? It seems for the most part that all have the Ultegra rears and 105 parts too. I like riding but don't do it often enough, like once a week. Can anyone steer me towards any of these bikes with their experiences or are there other bikes I should add to this list? Thanks!
Felt makes great bikes. Ride as many of them as you can and get the won that speaks to you. If none of them stand out as a clear winner get the one that you like the best and is the least expensive... ooh and try the felt.
Mr Handy thanks for your input. afterall those i was looking at i went with a closeout 2006 fuji team pro. i felt that is had the best ride compared to the ones i was looking at. purchased it in delaware tax free helped my decision.
