I am planning to go to this year's Tour and am having a hard time deciding what tour company to go with.
My top 3 choices are:
Trek Travel Yellow Jersey Tours Inside Track Tours
Last year I went on my own and it was more stress than I expected. These 3 companies seem to offer a more personalized service. Trek has a group size that is larger than I would prefer but maybe it doesn't matter. Yellow Jersey's group is half the size. All three seem to give their clients lots of inside stuff, like passes to get into the village and meet riders. Although I am not sure what Inside Track Tours will do without Hamilton.😕
I have never gone with an organized tour before and would love some advice.
I am worried that available spots will disappear soon so I need to move fast.

We offer a modestly priced way to combine the experience of cycling in France with the chance to see the Tour stages in the Alps. We have been operating for 5 years and our focus is on spending time on the bike rather than spending time on a coach. Our maximum group size is around 30 people and our ride travels across France from Bordeaux to the Alps. The two week Touring phase of the ride ends with the climb to Alpe d'Huez and is then followed by our supplementary week in the Alps for Le Tour. The Touring phase utilises camping and local restaurants. The Tour de France phase uses a comfortable ski chalet and a small hotel on the Col de la Madeleine. We will be targeting watching the stage finish on the climb to Courcheval and the passage of the Tour across the Galibier the next day.

Do not use Sportingtours... they are the worst and most disorganised tour of any kind I have ever been on... they use volunteers for Tour guides so unfortunately most them are more interested in making sure they get a ride in or do there own personal stuff at the expense of the people who actually paid to go on the Tour... I tried to get my money back last year to no avail.... absolutely woeful.... the worst of it was that we missed l'Alpe d'Huez because or Tour guide could not be bothered going up there ! You have been warned ! 😠
