I work for a municipality and would appreciate opinions on the best type of bike rack / fixture for public buildings, schools, grocery store, etc. Newer fixtures tend to be the "wave" style, and there are a variety of older style racks around town as well.

The old style racks twist front wheels and can't accomadate bikes with bags etc. The only thing I have ever been able to use is the kind that let the bike sit to the side of. Any thing that is made to HOLD the bike will not fit most bikes.
We have found that they need to be 4 feet apart to hold 2 bikes each at our food co-op. :eek:
