    Hi,
I am looking for two things right now. Something inexpensive that
will make full-sized grilled cheese and not divide them into pocket
    sandwiches.

A simple skillet makes fine grilled cheese.

Jeez! If you dog's hacking up stuff like that, you need to consult a vet.

    THIS is human food:

These photos look delicious! Sheesh, I am glad I had lunch, or else I
would be gnawing on my mouse.

Wow, what all do you put in your grilled cheese?? Looks good!

  5. Sadly, I should have made it clear that my intention was to try and
make 2-3 grilled cheeses at once. Then I read a post(s) where a
griddle was mentioned and remembered I have one that is long enough to
cover two burners, probably about 15 inches long by about 12 inces
wide, which has been put away. That will do the trick, I am sure. Plus
I enjoyed the pics of the sandwiches people posted.

    Thanks,
    Hacienda

That one has Swiss, white American, bacon chunks, and yellow
mustard. The pickle chips are eaten along with each bite.

Ah, if that the problem you're trying to solve,
just prepare the sandwiches, wrap in foil folded
double at each seam, and then . . .

Is there any place you were thinking about
driving to today? Preferably some place
at least half an hour away.

How about a frying pan and a metal spatula? You don't need anything else to
    make great grilled cheese sandwiches.

That's ridiculous. You can't make a grilled cheese sandwich in a
    pan!

Or else they be called 'panned cheese sandwich'

Yeah, right...like i really made that🙂 I found it one day when i was
googling on in-n-out burgers. I should post it on alt.food.fast.food and
tell Jerry that a local fast food joint here is serving that as a
drive-thru special. I'm sure he'll find a way to get his car going over
    30 mph.

I've been doing it for over 50 years and I suspect so have a lot of
others here. They turn out just fine.

If, however, you need a specialized appliance...knock yourself out.
