  1. I'm interested in going recumbent - doing lots of reading, not much test
riding, yet - lbs doesn't carry any 'bents, so I'm going to have to
travel in order to try them out. Here's my issue, though - I've got
kids who like to ride. I've got a 6 yr old on a trail-behind on my
present (conventional) bike, and she loves it. I don't think a 'bent
will work if I can't take her with me most of the time. So -- what are
my options? will this work, or should I forget it?

At this point, I've got nothing but the trail-behind, so this can enter
into my choice of 'bent -- any thoughts about what models/types work
better for this stuff would be appreciated...

    Thanks for any help...

Get a bent with a relative high point of gravity, and make sure the
attachment is compatible with the recumbent (some attach to the seatbolt on
conventional bike). I have ridden my Evita lowracer with my 7yo daughter on
a trailerbike, but the low center of gravity demands lots of attention from
the riders. The trailerbike is attached over the rear axle (on a strong
    carrier) in my case.

    Regards,
    Torben
