I got re-bent with my wife's 2001 Stratus. After breaking my wrist badly
enough to require surgery and an external fixator, it was the only way I
could ride safely (and in comfort). After a couple of weeks, I'm hooked
again (previous 'bent was a Vision R40).
Yesterday, I decided to recline the seat one "hole." Didn't adjust the seat
base's position (fore/aft), however. Thought I might be "reaching" for the
pedals a bit, but ignored it. Well, after about 3-4 hours of riding with
the newly reclined seat, my lower back was pretty tender. Saw my chiro
today, and explained the source of the pain. He worked his magic, and I'm a
lot better now. The seat base has been moved forward a bit, and after a
quick test spin, I don't feel like I'm straining to reach the pedals.
