Benefits of exercise
Men who walk or cycle for half an hour a day are 34 per cent less likely to
die from cancer than those who exercise less, according to a seven-year
study of the health and physical activity of 40,708 middle-aged and elderly
men by the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Exercise led to only a
5 per cent reduction in cancer occurrence, the research, published in the
British Journal of Cancer, found.
