We had this discussion recently. Try a google. IIRC the new car park has yet to happen. There is a
problem with the existing one being oversubscribed, with problems of folk parking elsewhere. A
solution was to move to the A821.

Its times like this, I really miss the old Scotland online site. It was great for keeping us up to
date with these things. Soem good writing there

Any alternatives sprung up that I may not know of?

There was some discussion recently on this group about these routes. There is some info on the
MCofS website. Parking is a bit limited on the A821 approach. ISTR a lay-by on the south side of
the road just past the access road to the deserted-looking Coilatogle farm. Unless something else
has been opened up there is no chance of this route being able to take the traffic that uses/used
the eastern approach.
