  1. Hey,

as a super-mtb-noob i'd like to buy my own bike to go for a little drive on
sundays. Nothing spectacular, nothing fancy ... Still not sure if this will
become a passion I don't want to spend too much money on it ...

This is what I had in mind :

    Suggestions ?

    Kind regards

  2. I would look at specialized Hard Rock for an entry bike - for about
£60 more (for the XC rigid) you will get a far superior bike. I would
also recommend you take the bike for a short ride, or at least sit on
it to check for size as this will probably be one of the biggest
    determinants of enjoyment.

    Regards, Sam

I agree with Sam. Get a 2005 Specialized Hardrock XC Rigid:

I bought one as my entry-level bike and it's excellent quality for the
    price.
