Let me first start off by saying I know nothing about bikes as you will see. I recently bought a bike online so I didn't get any instruction with it. It has the Shimano Flight Deck system on it. It has one toggle on each side (of course). I click the right one down and it upshifts the rear sprocket. Well now I have finally gotten down the the smallest one and can't figure out how to get it to go back the other way. So now I am limited to one gear. Any help? I feel too much like an idiot to ask this question in person at the bike shop. Thanks

There should be a button or lever under the bars to lift the chain back up the casette. Do you have a link or pix of the bike and its shifters?

Push the whole brake lever toward the center of the bike while you're pedaling and it'll shift into the bigger cogs.
Uh - don't feel too bad, that's a fairly frequently asked question.
