  1. Hey guys have wanted to buy and ride a road bike for a few years now but have been travelling and havent been able to. I have a budget of around $1000 give or take and was wanting some advice on a good store in and around Melbourne who have a good range of road bikes and will be able to give me the honest advice I require. I am after a road bike that i can ride comfortably on flats or climbs.

Cheers for anyone who can help me.

  2. The best advise I can give you is to go to your LBS and ride as many different bikes that are in your price range as you can. I even went to (3) different bike shops that sell different brands to find the one that was best for me. I must have road (6) different brands of bikes within my price range (under $1000) before I made my final decision. The bike that fit me the best (both in comfort and size) was the Giant OCR-2.

    Good luck,

    Tom
