Hey all:
I'm not new to cycling, but I'd like to get more serious about it. I'm 19 and have been doing casual rides on a mountain bike for a while. I've since grown a bit and the mountain bike is a bit small for me. I'd also like something better suited for longer distance rides. As of now, I only do 3-4 mile trips, but I'd like to start expanding with a new bike.
I'm about 6'3 or 6'4, 240 pounds, and of average build. My inseam is about 36 inches. This could pose some problems in picking the bike because I need a decent sized frame from what I can understand. I'm not very proficient on the terminology yet, either, so bear with me.
I'd like to get a road, racer, or hybrid bicycle for my next bike. I've quickly glanced at a few in local stores and I'd really be fine with any of the above. I live in PA, in a relatively hilly area, so I'd like to keep that in mind during the purchase. So, can anyone help point me in the right direction. I'd like to stick below $400 as of now as this is a starter bike, so any help is much appreciated!
Thanks!
