  1. Beer Texas Beef Brisket

    4-5 lbs Beef Brisket

    1 teaspoons celery seed
    3 teaspoons black pepper
    4 teaspoons dried parsley
    1 package onion soup mix
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 can beer
    1 can (14.5 oz.) chicken broth

    Mix all ingredients in a pan and heat and stir until blended.
    Place brisket in plastic cooking bag with this broth and refrigerator
    overnight.
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake for about 4 hours or until done.
    Remove all fat and strain juice; mix strained juice with flour to
    thicken to gravy.
    Slice across the grain into thin slices and serve with the gravy.

    Serves 6
