No, I have never used a MSR canister with my PR.

Not at all. I didn't even know MSR did gas. heh.

My Pocket Rocket has been everywhere with me. From cooking breakfast, lunch
and dinner in Chamonix to making a quick brew on Blencathra. There's no
feeling quite as smug as being on the summit in January, it's -5, everyone
is shivering, trying to eat frozen butties and you're wafting aromas of hot
Stag chilli through the still air. ;o)

### essentially no.....BUT 🙂
I've heard of several cases where the Pock Rock hasn't functioned with
certain canisters. I was out in an event where a fellow competitor,
wet, cold and hungry, screwed his PR on to a canister and it wouldn't
deliver gas. I've heard this from other sources too and I have a new
Coleman canister that the PR won't work on but the MSR Superfly works OK
on it. I also have a couple of the Snow Peak canisters that F&T sell and
there's a slight escape of gas from these when I connect and disconnect.
The word is to try the PR on the canister before you take it out for
real. Otherwise it's a terrific little stove.
