Beck wins Sugarloaf with climbing prowess (Tallahassee Democrat)

As a boy, Michael Beck rode his bicycle on the high roads of Scotland's mountains and hills around the fabled Loch Lomond. The 23-year-old FSU grad student drew upon his youthful climbing experience May 6 when he overcame a talented field of 120 Cat 3 and 4 riders to win the Sugarloaf Road Race.
