  1. Beautiful Ruby Hibiscus Margaritas

1/2 cup dried hibiscus blossoms (about 2 ounces)
    3 cups water
    2/3 cup sugar
    1 1/4 cups tequila
    1/3 - 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1/3 cup Triple Sec or other orange-flavored liqueur
    8 lime wedges

Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce
heat, add hibiscus, and simmer on very low heat for 10 minutes. Strain
the liquid into a pitcher pressing to remove all the liquid and discard
blossoms (or use them for another recipe). Cover and chill the hibiscus
syrup. When the syrup is cooled, combine with the tequila, lime juice,
and Triple Sec. Serve over ice and garnish with lime wedges, or try it
    blended! Makes 8 servings

This makes a pitcher of beautiful ruby colored margaritas. You can also
use the hibiscus syrup in other concoctions. Try it with vodka, bourbon,
or rum drinks too. You can also use crushed hibiscus to rim the glass.
Just rub a lime around the edge of the glass, and dip into some finely
crushed hibiscus petals. This recipe is made with dried hibicus flowers.
