In an effort to change to daylight saving time of my computer, I read the manual: http://www.sportarea.com/pdf/bc1600.pdf (I could have just waited til I got home, but I found it on teh intarweb).
And I was reminded to check how to use trip up/down, since it looks handy, but I hadn't used it before. Am I missing something obvious? You might want to use it to get the total length of a trip, or if you know the total length, to count down. Setting the count down is complicated, as you would expect, because you can only tell each digit to go "up". But reseting the trip-up counter? Do you really have to go through each digit and set to 0 manually? Teh dumn.

Inspired by TimC's effort, I decided to change the clock on my computer, and found this handy advice.. "Used batteries are harmful if swallowed by mistake"
Does that mean they are not harmful if I swallow one deliberatly? or if I swallow a brand new one? .. the mind boggles!

I have a BC1200, I assume that function would be the same. To reset the trip up, I just hit the reset button once and all digits go to zero.
