  1. I am in the process of rebuilding my one bike after a crash and have a question about BB's. My carbon bike has the new DA stuff (7800), i would like to put one of the FSA mega exo compact cranks on the bike that is being built up. I was wondering if there is compatability between these two bb/cranksets. Can i swap the cranks between bikes without having to swap the BB's? I would probably need to do this two times a year or so. I realize i'd need to adjust chain length and derailliuer adjustment and stuff, but just wanted to know if the BB's are the same measurements. Any help would be appreciated.

The MegaExo is an integrated bottom bracket on the FSA so you'll just need to figure out what the size of your bottom bracket is on your new frame and work from there. You may also want to consider getting a compact specific front derailleur as well...

  3. I know what the mega exo is, my quandry is will i be able to take the dura ace crank off of one bike and put it on the other bike with the mega exo bb and will i be able to take the FSA compact crank from that bike and put it on the bike with the dura ace bb? I guess i need to know if the diameters of the axel attached to the crank arm are the same between DA and FSA.

I believe the Mega Exo BB is compatible with the new 10 speed stuff. I've never actually swapped parts between DA and FSA, but my understanding is that it will work.
