  1. Hi guys I've just purchased the new Deore Hollowtech 2 crank, and was after some advice over a bashring to protect it. Its the 44 32 22T model, any ideas?

    Thanks Guys,
    Matthew

Because I did not know that you could put a bashring on a triple, if I were planning on grinding on logs/etc. then I would replace the existing 44t chainring with a STEEL chainring ...

Alternatively, I would move the 44t to the inner shoulder & install a larger granny (is a 28t-or-larger 64BCD chainring available?) leaving the outer shoulder for the bashring.

Yeah good point, thanks for the help, ill go for the steel ring sounds like a more pratical idea
