Sounds like this bike is older than you, possibly older than your parents, even, given the name and the Campagnolo Valentino and Gran Sport derailleurs. Unless Campy recycled those names in the 1980s.

You're right. This is a fairly low-grade bike that came later in the history of Bartali, probably '60s or early '70s. It's like the Italian equivalent to a Peugeot U0-8 or a Raleigh Grand Prix. It needs a lot of TLC--if a shop does the work, over $200 worth. If you can do the work, you might keep it under $100. As to its current value, probably $40, maybe a bit more because it's not a Peugeot or a Raleigh and it was originally purchased at Sepp Schwann Radsport in Innsbruck.

It's cool enough that if it fell into my lap, I'd definitely fix it up and keep it as a loaner and conversation piece. But it's not the sort of thing to buy if you're interested in carefree riding, and if you do the work and decide to sell it, you might break even.
