Hi I'm just getting back into bikinig, and am looking to get into a lil offroad riding. I just bought a Gary Fisher Tasshara. I am looking to install bard ends. Can anyone give me some recommendations on bar ends, pros and cons? Also any online stores to buy them cheap? Thanx in advance.

I just installed a pair of Cane Creek Ergo Control bar ends on my machine after using a pair of short bar ends for the last couple of years. So far (about 8 hours riding) I find them to be quite comfortable as they give me multiple hand positions. Also, they're not as slippery as my old ones.
You don't indicate where you are in the world, but if you're a canuck or yank, they're on deal right now at Performance. They can be found here .
Also, here is a coupon code for 20% off with a minimum $50 purchase. The coupon code is 6000381, expiry June 15, 2004.
Good luck,
A canuck -
I personally think the Cane Creek are the best.the simple design and comfort is great. Plus they don't hook on trees as easy.
