i am fairly new to road bikes but i have been riding mountain(gary fisher/bontrager) for years my brother rides road (bianchi/shimano) l was thinking of bianchi/campy i.e. veloce double any ideas bianchi or other would be greatly appreiciated

I would recommend the Bianchi/Campy combo. Good choice.

If you want to pay less Shimano is the way to go.
