Sure is nice chatter...and we are all just geniuses sitting here
looking at a screen, keying in stuff to say while we could actually
be doing something constructive...other than wishing we could have
something to eat that tastes great!

How would we know it alls know about Walmart employees and their
work.....been there taking advantage of the low wages they pay so our
tomatoes can cost five cents less a pound?

Too bad everyone can't be as intelligent as us posters.

I might know because I worked there. Granted, it was a long time ago (Sam was
alive, they closed at 9:00, etc.) I don't remember any kind of cap on how high
an employees IQ could be.

The only reason I see for doing that is to swipe something.

A transparent bag? The reason to tie it is so the contents don't spill out.

How utterly silly. Tying the bag keeps round fruit and veggies from
rolling out. The bags are deliberately transparent so the contents can
be seen. Do you think that's a coincidence?

Maybe my comment was a little over the top, but I do resent people
who treat checkers as sub-human species just because they are having a
bad day..

Often the produce has different prices for items that appear
identical except for a special sticker on each fruit or vegetable. In
this case, the checker needs to see the individual stickers to
determine how to ring it up. Don't make them have to open the bag to
see each item's sticker.

A little courtesy and consideration goes a long way. Right?

Kroger bags are not really clear. Hold one up to your eyes and you
can't see 1/2 inch. Thus the sticker is only visible on the fruit on
the outside of the bag and facing just the right way.

Check it out.

Besides in a bag with 10 pieces of fruit/vege, the tags are on the
inside requiring the checker to access the items.
Don't be so rude to the checkers, they are people too.
