  1. Being all migraine-demented today, I decided to take off on my bike by
myself. DH was off running errands, so he wasn't there to stop me.
(Note that taking off for a solo ride is not a demented idea, just doing
so when I have a migraine.) I had just enough presence of mind to
think: I'd better take the cell phone. Which doesn't fit in my itsy
bitsy saddle bag. Oh I know, I'll steal DH's. Yeah, that'll work.

It actually did work. For about 20 miles. Then for some unknown
reason, it started causing abrasions on my thighs. Not good. I noodled
around with it for a bit and got it to stop chafing.

Then I got a flat. Good thing I replaced my spare tube. Front tire
this time. (Considering the state of my head, that was a VERY good
thing. Simple fix.) Some nice fellow on a nice bike came along with a
better frame pump than I've got and helped pump it to a ride-able
    pressure. Off I go.

I get back into town and onto some rough pavement. That's when the bag
conspired with my suspension seat post.

    It bit me.

    Hard.

    And drew blood.

    *whimper*

I noodle around with it. Seemed okay. At this point, I'm only 2 miles
    from home.

    More rough pavement.

    It bit the other leg.

    More blood.

    *whinge*

At this point, I'm only about a mile from home.

Remember, I've got a migraine. I don't really think in straight lines
when I have a migraine. Weird things going on with blood flow and
hormones and stuff in the brain. And there's lots of rough pavement
that last mile home, before I get into my neighborhood proper.

    Bite. Bite. Bite.

Has anybody ever had a saddle bag bite them like that?

I'm not going to be able to walk properly for a week.
