Had my first real SMIDSY today. Fortunately managed to not damage my bike too much and continued my journey after exchanging details. Good thing I had my camera with me, so took some photos of damage to car. She seemed to reckon that they won't persue insurance as it's a company car (small company), and probably not worth it to them. I reckon the scratches will t-cut out, and the wing mirror will just need new glass and will go back on.
Quite a funny spectical as I found myself standing up handing the wing mirror back. I was told a did a bit of a 'Superman'. Excellent!
Good part of the day was when cycling back I did my good deed and captured an injured bird on Wimbledon common and RSPCA are recovering it tomorrow. Nice people in house nearby took it in for the night (nice to have people like that about). Woman in Asda wasn't even going to lend me any tape to seal the box up. As if Asda will miss it. Not sure what type of bird it was, but it had damaged its neck and it was hopping around with it's head flopping about. It was still alive an hour after catching it, so it's still pretty strong. I think it was a Jay, not sure if the RSPCA will try and save it, but at least they can put in down humanely. I couldn't bear whacking it with a big stick.

snippity...
Are you okay? What happened to cause the collision?
Bruised elbow and leg. Bike's okay though! She didn't indicate until she manouvered. It was a place I didn't expect her to go either (not a junction, it just goes behind some shops).
