Hi everyone,
I need some advice. I think I know the answer already, but I'm looking for opinions of folks with much more experience than me.
In a few weeks, there are a couple of races that I can do. They are on back to back days. Race 1 is a 60 mile road race. Race 2 is a uphill TT, 7.4 km and 370 M vertical. I had looked at these a few months ago, and had thought about the TT as that seems to suit my riding style better and I've ridden the course many time (however not this year, yet). However, I'm kinda behind on miles this month so the road race has some appeal. I'm never really raced before so I'm not looking for real results. I'd be racing in the "Citizens Mens" category, again nothing really too serious. I have no real expectations out of either race, I just want to see how I stack up against others at this point in time.
My question is this, I'm not sure how I should proceed. Should I do race 1, race 2 or both? What would you do in the couple of weeks to get ready, depending on your answer. My concern is that if I want to focus on the TT and I do the Road race, I might not have the giddy up in my legs the next day. There is also a "fun" century ride I can do next weekend for good measure.
What would you do? Help a brother out!!!
EDIT: See stages 4 and 5....
