My wife and I are getting back into riding bikes for fun and this fall I would like to do some upgrades to my bike. I would like to see what you guys think or could help me with.
The type of riding we do right now is mostly on bike trails. a combination of dirt, lose stone and pavement nothing off road in the woods type of riding. we also have our 2 year old and 1 years old in a seat on the back of our bikes.
The type of bike I have is nothing fancy again just got back into this after many years of not riding a bike and bought it off of craigslist
Schwinn Mirada Sport
Hyper Glide
Gears and derailleurs are Shimano Gs100.
The Frame is in good shape no cracks Bar ends are a little scratched up.
So what I'm wondering since this is an older bike would it be worth upgrading gears, derailleurs and tires and send it off to a friends paint shop to be painted this winter?
What would you recommend up grading to?
