I tried the duck and the seafood (about $15 for 3 ounces) and was not impressed at all. I had been eyeing them out on the shelves for quite a while and finally broke down, only to be really disappointed. You should see how much they want for duck fat - you're better off buying a whole duck and getting 10X as much fat, plus the meat.
Agreed, those are fairly weak. I got a big tub of the vegetable, though, and was fairly happy with it. Most commercial vegetable stock just tastes like salt; this was quite a bit better.
I've used the Minor's beef base but the chicken base tastes hellacious, IMO.I find the ones you can buy from Williams and Sonoma a little bit better. But the names of all of these are misleading. The only commercial demi-glace that seems like a real demi-glace to me is from d'Artagnan. And I don't understand why they always call the concentrated vegetable stock mirepoix.
Good lord, this stuff has gone up in price. I used to keep a container of the chicken flavor on hand I think it was around $12 for 16 ounces then, I used it in risotto when I didn't have any homemade chicken stock on hand, was good for that use, but too bland for soups and most sauces IMO. At $28 for 16 ounces I'd never consider buying it.

The "More Than Gourmet" line of about a dozen demiglaces are really expensive and misleading as to how potent they are.
