  1. I have been on 8 mg per day of Avandia for several years. In the last year or so I lost about 50 lbs
(deliberately trying to use). My last hemoglobin A1C was 5.3. Based on this excellent test result,
my doctor suggested that I try reducing the dose of Avandia to 4 mg. per day (by cutting the pills
and taking half a pill per dayt) and monitor my blood sugar to see how I am doing. I remember when I
first started taking Avandia, it took about 3-4 months before it became really effective. If the
smaller dose is going to be less effective than the previous dose, how long does it usually take to
    see the difference?

Please answer by posting or by e-mail (The modification to my phony e-mail address should
    be obvious).

    Jerry
