has anyone had the surgery? i was dx. with this and i am confused whether or not to have the surgery? the doc - dr. meyers (top specialist) says he has a 95% success rate and that conservative treatments don't work. i can't decide what to do. i have suffered since october. dr. meyers has done 3000 of these operations mainly on pro athletes.
i think i want to try another regimen of PT then if that doesn't work, to have the surgery.
Go for it dude! but be advised 95% is the success rate, the survival rate is about 2%. I like the odds, do it! Moral of this post? Ask the right questions.
For those of us not in the know, what the heck is the nature of the problem diagnosed as athletic pubalgia? I could venture a guess, but . .. .I guess not.

this is tough stuff. can anyone help>
thanks
Don't bother to think or look anything up for yourself dumbass. It's a hernia, but more often than not just an old fashion groin pull that has been misdiagnosed by a surgeon that has a boat payment. Your welcome.
