I don't think so Ronnie. I take atenolol 0.25mg, but my doc gave me a
prescription for the 50mg so it would be cheaper for me and I just cut them
in half.

I'll explain.Someone else wrote that they were told not to split
atenolol. I said that my doctor told me to split mine, and I
wondered if the OP was on a different formulation such as a
coated or slow release version. That was the only reason I
could think of for not splitting the pills, but I didn't
mean to imply that there is such a version.
