  1. So, I learned my lesson about nutrition about a year ago. After a
horrible MSG experience, I started paying attention to what I eat. No
more refined sugar, MSG, no transfats, almost no junk food (occasional
pizza slice and Ben and Jerry's pint aside).

I eat tons of fruit and vegetables and only fish and grain fed turkey
    and chicken.

I feel infinitely better. My depression is gone (I also take fish oil
supplements and folic acid, both of which ended my life-long depression
    in 3 weeks).

Anyway, I was bored at work the other day and bought some Fritos from
the snack machine. Holy [censored]. Within 10 minutes I was in a surly,
irritable mood, where before I had felt fine - nothing else had changed
besides the Fritos. My mood lasted several hours before it snapped
    back.

This was how I USED to walk around: irritated at everything and every
body. My point? I think junk food is worse than anyone thinks. The
stuff is toxic and makes it impossible for some kids to learn; I know
    it hurt my concentration.

Question: what do you think is in, say, fritos, that causes such a
reaction? They claim to not have MSG in it, I don't think it has
transfats... what would account for such a harsh reaction? Any theories?
