lots hated the 2080...but they clearly stuck with the brand and gave the 2090 a shot. a 53% increase coming off a disappointing 2080 is amazing. what's interesting about these numbers is they justify sticking with the shoe as it is for a while...no? at least 18 months...no? why tamper w/success like this? it's probably the #1 selling running shoe in the usa. just wait till spring...asics will screw it up no doubt.

Lance, the 90's are on the history list with the 2100's, which by the way redesigned the sole, is the shoe de jour for that model line. The fact that they redesigned the sole pattern suggested more than just me were have problems. Let's face it, they will change make changes and not just color, every 6-9 months with each model change. For some it will mean screw it up but for others and improvement. This is the reason I buy 4-6 pairs at a pop so I don't have to find a new shoe come racve day.
