  1. ....there are so many wonderful sites to see!

    New freshman (and seasoned seniors) pedaling around on full-suspension
    bikes with fat knobbies on the sidewalks and walkways riding at walking
    speed since they're too crowded to go any faster.

    I've already seen three quick-release front wheels locked to racks (the
    rest of the bike has already gone missing.

    There was a pretty sweet fixed gear outside the civil engineering building.

    The kicker:
    I've also noticed several people only locking up *one* of their fork
    ends! Should I leave them a note telling them to email so that I can
    explain to them that someone could quick-release the tire, slide the
    frame out of the lock, and put the tire back on?!?

    I mean, bike theft sucks, but these guys are asking for it! And I don't
    want them to be discouraged from cycling when (not if) their ride gets
    jacked.
