Armstrong Foundation to Hold Auction

NEW YORK (AP) -- An auction of 15 yellow designer items will be held next
month as part of an effort to raise $6 million for the Lance Armstrong
Foundation.

The auction will run July 6-16, it was announced this week. Oscar de la
Renta donated a yellow dress and clutch from the spring/summer 2004
collection worth $15,000; Manolo Blahnik donated a pair of suede banana
boots; Louis Vuitton is giving a custom-made yellow Epi hatbox; and Robert
Lee Morris has donated an 18-karat yellow gold bracelet worth $7,000.

The yellow items symbolize the color of the leader's jersey at the Tour de
France, which Armstrong has won five straight times, and also Armstrong's
battle to fight cancer.

It's a cool site. Plus, you can also show support by buying yellow
bracelets ($1-each)to help raise money to help folks dealing with
cancer. They are getting popular too. Keep an eye out, you'll see lots
of people wearing them...

Looks like one of those insect repellent bands. (Now there's an idea...)

Nah, you just need to ride faster. I've discovered that a speed of 7+ mph,
while climbing, is enough to keep the bugs away. Slower than that and
they're all over you.
