are these kysrium sl's

On my 2003 ssc sl the 'sl' appears at the end of the 'ksyirium' label that goes around the rim just after the 'm', but much smaller. Also on the hub sticker 'ksyrium' appears at the edge of the label running around the hub and again an 'sl' appears after it. I don't think the 2002 model would be any different, so if you don't see this I would suspect they are not the sl model.

Aside from how they're labeled, I believe the chief visible difference between the SSC SL and the earlier SSC Ksyriums is the machining on the inner rim of the more recent models.

The SSCs have a more traditional medium-depth rim profile, while the SSC SLs are scooped-out in between the spoke inlets to create the signature scalloped box-section.

there is only a 40 gram difference between the 2001 and the current model. That's hardly significant. If they are in good shape and are a good price, why not get them?
