I am thinking about purchasing a "not so familiar" road bike brand. Will I have a hard time finding somebody to work on it or are all components interchangeable? Thanks

As long as it's kitted out with either Shimano or Campagnolo stuff you'll be fine. Even if not, any competent mechanic should be fine with it. -

A real possibility considering the Beavis and Butthead types masquerading as wrenches in many shops.Assuming road, even the 'not so familiar' brand will probably have shimano or campy.The Beavis and Butthead types know even less about campy.
