Aquatic Training and Techniques. Whether you have been
working in the field for years or are just beginning, this
workshop will give you a fresh look at what's up and coming
in the Aquatic field.
This seminar will discuss aquatic techniques work and when
to use them. This is a hands on workshop where participants
will Learn each new skill, Practice it in the water, and
then Teach it to other participants: The L-P-T Method.
The program is designed for anyone interested in Aquatic
Training including: Therapists, Adapted Aquatic Instructors,
Parents and Friends of Children with Disabilities, and
Educators. The handling skills and adapted techniques taught
in this seminar will increase comfort for the patient and
instructor.
Instructor: Paula Ray, OTR, ATRI, AEA and Master Burdenko
Instructor.
Ms. Ray has over 35 years in the field of aquatics and
studied directly under the founders of Bobath,
Halliwick, Jones Strain & Counterstrain and is a
Certified Watsu IV Therapist. She also co-authored the
Burdenko Exercise Guidebook with Dr. Igor Burdenko.
