  1. Hey all, i'm currently riding an older model Bianchi Volpe (it's a touring bike) w/ 700x35 cyclocross tires on it, but i want to go to more of a road tire b/c i'm starting to use it for long rides again rather than just commuting. Any thoughts on what the smallest size tire i can put on there would be? I took it by my LBS and they told me they thought it could hold a 28 without worrying about the bead popping free, but the guy didn't really look at the tire much. I *think* the rims i have on there are 24mm wide. Thoughts? Thanks!

  2. 24mm outside width, is about 19mm inside, that's OK for a 28mm tyre. There are some good choices at 28mm, Conti Sport Contact and Ultra Gator Skin for example.

  3. Thanks Clark! i'll give it a shot.
