Before you apply the touch up paint make sure you use alcohol (if you can buy the most concetrated alcohol you can find ) wipes to totally remove the silicone polish (and allow to dry before paint is aplied) .I went thru the same problem when i installed a wood dash kit in my BMW,i had silicone protectant all over and the guy that sold me the kit send me this alcohol that worked very well, try it 🙂 .
    Dan :p
