  1. Does anyone know what the average grade is from either end? I'm trying to
get hill training done on paths relatively close to home, and I can't think
of anything else. On the other hand, it *is* only about 30 metres rise,
but that's as good as you get near the city.

Um try some of the hills in Rozelle and Lilyfield for a bit steeper. Theres a couple of steep but short climbs in the roads behind the Red Lion if you like. There are even lanes in there which are almost as quite as paths

Or there is the hill up into Ultimo from down near Harold Park receway. William Henry St I think. Its always good for a bit of a burn in my legs after a few laps.

Or even up Victoria Rd from the western end of Anzac bridge if your game...

The main problem is length, not steepness. William Henry St is short
enough that it's possible to do it purely anaerobically, but I can't find
any good aerobic hills around here.

Thanks for the suggestions, though - I'm not crazy enough to try Victoria
    Rd at any time!
