I've never used the Pinhead locks, but I bought a set of the pitlock skewers for my Brother. They seem to have worked pretty well for him in Philadelphia. I'm assuming someone with real time on their hands could foil them. But I'm sure they'll stop anyone from nicking things if they don't have the luxury of actually walking off with your bike.
