  1. No, not a misspell for Piano :o
I have a very nice Columbus oversize tubing racing frame I picked up second hand a while back, built by "Paino" whoever they/he/she were. Does anybody know anything about Paino bicycles and where they come from? I have been told South Sydney but thats a big place! You do see the odd one on e-Bay now and then so they must have sold a few.
It is spaced for a six speed so it probably dates back to the mid-80's?
    Cheers

  2. My first really nice bike was a Paino, built by Frank Paino of Paino Cycles at Miranda (on the Kingsway opposite Westfields). Mine was circa 1986 (and sold in the mid 90's).

He closed his shop down in probably the late 90's I'd guess. I don't know if Frank is still making bikes at all.

  3. Thanks for the info Brett, that nails the location of the shop down! From another source I gather Frank Paino was a bit of a character, it would be nice to find out more about that ;-)Cheers
